Southwest’s 2027 Rapid Rewards overhaul ties unlimited Companion Pass to Platinum

Southwest will replace A-List and A-List Preferred with Silver and Gold on January 1, 2027, while adding a new Platinum tier with unlimited Companion Pass trips.

Members will unlock three Companion Pass trips at 95,000 TQPs or 75 qualifying one-way flights; each trip can cover a round-trip itinerary.

Members who earned a Companion Pass in 2026 with an expiration date of December 31, 2027 will keep its benefits through that date.
