What can Turkish Miles&Smiles miles book?#

Miles&Smiles is Turkish Airlines' loyalty program. Its miles can be redeemed for eligible flights on Turkish Airlines, Star Alliance members and other participating partners. A partner award is issued through Miles&Smiles; you do not transfer the balance into the operating airline's own program merely to use its flight.

The program's appeal depends on the journey you can actually book. An attractive chart price is a starting reference, while the available cabin, routing, taxes and payment process determine the final result. Keep the issuing program visible in your notes, especially if you are comparing the same operating flight through MileagePlus, Aeroplan or another Star Alliance program.

Read the current chart and award category#

Confirm which category the search is offering, whether the table applies to Turkish-operated or partner travel, and how the itinerary is constructed. Do not import a familiar price from an older blog post without checking the current official table.

Use the right path for a partner award#

Turkish's award-travel terms direct signed-in members to the Miles Transactions page for Star Alliance redemptions. A normal Turkish flight search and a partner redemption search are not interchangeable. Confirm that you are using the right channel before concluding a partner route is unavailable.

A partner seat found through another program is useful research but does not establish that Turkish can price and ticket it. Verify the full route for the real passenger count, including each connection's cabin. If the website cannot complete the journey, provide official support with the exact flight numbers, dates, operating carriers and cabin rather than relying only on a destination and a quoted chart amount.

How to book with Miles&Smiles miles#

After finding possible dates with AwardTool, confirm the itinerary with Turkish Airlines. Establish the complete price and ticketing requirements before converting additional bank rewards.

1. Sign in and select the proper redemption

   Use the Miles&Smiles account and choose Turkish or Star Alliance award booking as appropriate. Enter the route, dates and passenger details needed for the actual trip.

2. Confirm itinerary and fare

   Check award category, cabins, operating flights, connections and the total miles and cash charges. If assisted booking is necessary, ask the official agent to confirm the entire journey and the applicable ticketing deadline.

3. Complete payment and verify issuance

   Check the funding and payment instructions, complete the required transaction and retain the receipt. Confirm that every traveler has an issued ticket and that the operating carrier recognizes the reservation.

Check transfers, service fees and unused-mile rules#

For U.S. bank rewards, confirm Miles&Smiles is currently available to your exact rewards account and read the transfer rate, increment and processing estimate. A supported bank name does not guarantee every card permits the same transfer. Check the member's name and number before submission, and do not assume an airline reservation will remain available throughout an unspecified transfer delay.

Turkish publishes separate rules for changes and refunds, including different treatment for domestic and international travel and for unused or partially used tickets. Review the conditions of the selected award rather than relying on a fee quoted for a different itinerary. Also check the validity of miles before redemption or cancellation. When support is involved, retain the quoted conditions and deadline so a reservation is not mistaken for a completed ticket.
