Use discovery when you can follow an opportunity#

Deals works well when you have a travel window and points to spend but have not committed to one route. Instead of deciding on a single flight first, browse promising awards and compare which of them could support a trip you would enjoy. Keep your practical limits visible: reachable airports, acceptable dates, cabin, and total budget.

A deal label is a discovery aid, not a personal value judgment. The lowest displayed points price may still involve substantial taxes, an inconvenient connection, or a departure airport that costs you more to reach. Decide what a worthwhile trip means before treating a result as the best option.

Browse Deals and inspect a promising result#

1. Set a workable geography and period

   Open Deals and adjust the available search and filter controls to your departure options, destinations, and dates. Leave destinations broader when you are looking for inspiration.

2. Filter for the trip you can take

   Use available cabin, points, program, card, seat, and routing controls. Make sure a deal can accommodate your party and be funded by points you can actually use.

3. Read the deal card

   Compare the route, travel date, cabin, booking program, points, estimated taxes, available seats, and last-seen information. Open the card to inspect matching flights.

4. Review and recheck the itinerary

   Use the available grid or list view, expand flight segments, and compare schedules and connections. For supported programs, Refresh Data asks for a fresh availability check.

5. Follow the booking path

   Open the information button for the program price and eligible transfer options. Continue through Book Now to verify the award with the airline program.

Use First Class Explorer for a particular experience#

First Class Explorer provides a focused way to explore the airline experiences available in the Tools menu. Select an explorer to load its specialized results, then set the supported locations and date range. This is useful when the cabin experience matters more than a single destination.

Keep geography and dates broad enough to find alternatives, then narrow using the available airline, program, card, points, tax, stop, timing, and aircraft filters. Filter availability varies by view and account access. Open the actual itinerary before assuming that every segment is in First.

Inspect the airline, flight number, aircraft, and individual cabin segments. Where a Live Seat Map link is available, use it to understand the layout. Aircraft and seat assignments can change; a map does not establish award inventory or guarantee a specific onboard product.

Evaluate the whole trip before choosing a deal#

Compare the points and cash required for everyone traveling, then include any extra hotel nights, ground transport, or flights needed to reach the award's origin. Check both directions of the trip before committing to an outbound that has no workable return.

Separate the operating airline from the loyalty program used to book. Transfer-partner rows explain potential ways to fund that program, and Transfer Guide provides procedural help. Confirm current transfer terms and the award itself before moving points; an available bank-to-program path does not prove the seat is still bookable.

For couples or groups, the available award-seat count is more important than how many unassigned seats appear on the seat map. Search for the full party and confirm the required number with the booking program. Avoid assuming separate searches will leave the same seats available for everyone.
